EXALT WEBINAR: GREEN EXTRACTIVISM & VIOLENT CONFLICT

Date: July 17, 2020

EXALT hosts a one-day webinar conference “Green Extractivism & Violent Conflict” on June 17, 2022. This exciting conference features three plenary speakers, and 16 exciting papers across 4 panels.

This webinar conference will explore the multifaceted connections between ‘green extractivism’ and violent conflicts. The speakers will offer fresh empirical and theoretical insights into the ways ‘decarbonization’, ‘green growth’ and climate change mitigation policies shape and are shaped by dynamics of conflict and violence.

There is no cost for participating in the event, but registration is required. Please register to the event here by June 14.

Once you register, you will not immediately receive a separate confirmation of registration other than the message that appears in the browser. But don’t worry: we promise that we have received your registration once you have sent the form.

The Zoom links will be sent to all registered participants by June 15, 2022. If you have not recieved these links to the same e-mail you have used to registered, please let us know via e-mail at exalt@helsinki.fi.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Global Extractivisms and Alternatives Initiative (EXALT) if you have any questions or need additional information (exalt@helsinki.fi). Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in June.
