At the Cutting Edges of Knowledge Production: Borders and Black Holes in Academic Dialogue

In order to discuss the multiple intersectional inequalities, discrimination, and exclusion mechanisms in the academic world, we created in collaboration with the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung and Universität Bielefeld, the international conference: “At the Cutting Edges of Knowledge Production: Borders and Black Holes in Academic Dialogue”.

The conversation begins with the dialogue table: “The challenge of the Anthropocene. Dialogue with the non-human world ”, which will feature the participation of Jörn Ahrens (Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen (JLU)), Charlotte Wrigley-Asante (University of Ghana, Legon) and Christof Mauch (Rachel Carson Center). In addition, the session will conclude with an interregional dialogue between Dipesh Chakrabarty (The University of Chicago) and Franz Mauelshagen (Universität Bielefeld).

The appointment is Monday, October 18, 2021, at 4:00 pm (CET).
